The Chicagoland Security Meetup
|
This is meant to be a Career-Focused Meetup of IT Security Professionals that attempts to finally combine the audiences from the city and various Chicagoland area technology hot spots. With the idea of having meetings in various Chicagoland locations to encourage participation, our hope is to limit the downside and share the pain of always driving downtown or out to the suburbs. All current security groups are welcome to keep their own identity even if we all meet under the label of the Chicagoland Meetup. We have no desire to compete or step on toes. Rather we hope to simply increase overall community involvement.

Our next meeting:
Launch of Chicagoland Meetup @ ChicagoCon 2008s
As a good faith gesture to get people from the city and the suburbs together, I will offer free tickets to the Ethical Hacking Conference portion of ChicagoCon from May 16 - 17, a $100 value, to those who can't afford it. Just contact me at don@digitalconstruct ionco.com. See great talks, meet new people and have a bite to eat. As part of the agenda for ChicagoCon, we have a Pizza Party scheduled on Friday at 6:00 PM.
