About DC Metropolitan Area (VA,DC,MD) IT Security Meetup

This group is specific for IT Security personnel. It is a private group and you must meet the following requirements:

• You must work or previously worked in the IT Security Field
  
• You must have at least 1 year experience in the field working in IT Security or C&A projects
  
• You must be invited by a member (Full Name or CODE Required at registration)
  
• You must have or had a Public Trust Security Clearance within the past 3 years.
  

Exceptions are made only for Government Employees/Contractors and/or CISSP Certified Professionals with over 1 year experience. In order to verify that you are working for the Government, you must provide your work e-mail for verification purposes and/or your full name for CISSP verification.

If you don't work for the government at this time, but had work in the past in an IT Security Level, please foward a copy of your resume without contact information to further access your background.

Security experience can be either on network or application areas. The topics to be discussed will include both sections.

For those members accepted the only requirements is a contribution to the group by either posting a thread about security or providing meeting suggestions at least once every two (2) months.
